Benchmark Federal Credit Union presented a donation of $2,100 to a local charitable organization, after employees at all branches made contributions, so they could wear jeans to work.
The donation was presented on Tuesday to the staff of Cuddle My Kids in Westtown, which provides in-home, no-cost resources for families affected by cancer. Their program supports children through creative play, arts and crafts, and enrichment, while at the same time offering respite for the sick parent to focus on healing and increasing their quality of life during treatment.
“As the only federal credit union to serve Chester County exclusively, we are committed to partnering with organizations that truly support our community,” says Rebecca Worthington, Vice President of Marketing at Benchmark Federal Credit Union. “We are inspired by the good work Cuddle My Kids is doing to assist these deserving families.”
Every Friday, Benchmark allows employees at all branches to wear jeans to work in exchange for a monthly donation to a community charity. At the end of the year, the funds raised are given to a Chester County nonprofit. This year, their efforts were boosted by employees at Benchmark’s newest branches in Downtown West Chester and Phoenixville.
